Slade's First Christmas, Marion, IL

The day after Christmas we were on the road to Marion to have Christmas with Brian's family. It wasn't long after we arrived that the unwrapping began. Slade was so happy to get more books and a cool new ride...a red wagon from Aunt Suzy, Uncle Chad, Nicole and Jake. He also liked the new toys from Grandpa and Grandma. Unwrapping his new guitar below and with cousins Nicole and Jake!

After celebrating Christmas with everyone we settled into a few days of...nothing...which was a welcomed change of pace. We went shopping and just hung out at the house before hitting the road on Sunday to come home.

Courtesy of Aunt Suzy, this pic is one of my favorite from Christmas. How big does he look sitting up reading his new book? Can't believe this kid is already 7 months old! It was great seeing everyone over the crazy holiday season and we certainly appreciate all the wonderful gifts! We just had enough room for Slade on the way home...and I'm not joking! Happy New Year!
