Big Boy Standing and Clean Teeth!

It wasn't long after Slade started crawling that he was ready to start standing. He loves to pull himself up to play with this activity table Grami gave him several months ago. It's a completely different kind of fun when you are a big boy and can stand to play with it...all by yourself! He looks SO big in these pics...
Miss Robyn turned around to find Slade standing at the kitchen table one day! He obviously thinks it's BIG TIME fun! Pulling up on anything and everything is his favorite thing these days!

He and Miss Robyn have some fun playing in a box one afternoon! Amazing how we spend all kinds of money on toys, when kids LOVE the toys, that aren't really toys at all.

Grami gave Slade his first toothbrush for Easter! Although I'm late getting the pics up, he LOVES brushing his teeth every evening before bed. Mommy brushes them first and then he gets his turn. He does great and even hands over the toothbrush when he's gotten them all clean! It's the cutest thing!

Birthday Balloons Crawling

We celebrated Slade's first birthday in Illinois while we were there in April for the golf tournament Brian and his family play in each year. He wasn't sure about the cake, but managed to shovel in a few bites once he had a taste!









His new love...balloons! He even crawled for them! Who knew? We just needed to get some balloons in the house to make this boy crawl! He LOVED the balloons and woke up each morning looking for them. Check out the video of him crawling below!

We also celebrated Nicole and Jake's birthdays and had a great time eating TONS of cake! Slade came home with new "little people" toys from Grandma and Papaw. Aunt Suzy and Uncle Chad loaded us up with books (as always...thank you!) and a cool new water table for Slade! He had a great time playing with his cousins and loved the endless golf cart rides! Grandma and Papaw also bought Slade a new swing for their house...below he tries it out with Grandma!








Although the guys didn't bring home the trophy, we had a great weekend spending time with family and celebrating birthdays for the children that bring such joy to our lives! Family IS truly everything and we are so blessed! Can't wait for some fun on the lake this summer!
